11 carnival floats, 35 walking groups and more than 3,700 carnival participants
The carnival events will take place throughout the streets and the commercial center of Veria, including City Hall Square, Elia Square, Clock Square and Elli Street pedestrian area, starting on February 12.
The program includes the revival of traditional customs, concerts, carnival parties, workshops and creative activities, as well as the Grand Carnival Parade, which will be held on Saturday, February 21, along Mitropoleos and Elias streets, hosted by Dimitris Ougarezos.
The carnival celebrations will conclude on Sunday, February 22.
On Clean Monday, February 23, the traditional custom of “Koulouma” will take place in the communities of the Municipality of Veria, organized by local cultural associations.
